Nune Toumanyan, is a talented sculptor from Yerevan, Armenia
who has private collections in the U.S.A., England, Italy, Ukraine, Russia and Armenia. In 1998, Nune
Toumanyan participated and received the Bronze Prize for "Love" in the Biennial Bronze Competition devoted to Dante's "The
Divine Comedy," in Ravenna, Italy: the theme being The Gates of Paradise. Ms. Toumanyan also participated
in the Bronze Biennial Competition in 1996 and has received a invitation to the upcoming 2003 competitions in Ravenna,
Italy.
On October 26, 2001, Ms. Toumanyan's Personal Exhibition was held
in Yerevan, Armenia, and as a result of the exhibition a thirty (30) minute film was made in November 2001 in Yerevan.
The film introduced Ms. Tumanyan's bronze scupltures and her personal exhibition. The same movie was shown
in California, USA in 2002 over three (3) cable channels, one being the Art 13 channel.
Ms. Toumanyan has appeared on several radio channels and magazines
in Yerevan, Armenia and the U.S.A. Ms. Toumanyan has also appeared in the Muse Art Magazine twice: the first
introduced Ms. Toumanyan's Art Bronze sculptors in Issue #3 of 2002, and, secondally, she was personally interviewed
by Zara Maloyan from the Muse Art Magazine in Issue #15 of 2002. The topic of discussion of the interview was Sincerity
Cast in Bronze.
Ms. Toumanyan was born in Yerevan,
Armenia, on October 23, 1963. She attended the following: from 1976 to 1980 Ms. Toumanyan attended the Drawing
School named after H. Kojoyan; from 1980 to 1984 she attenended the Academy named after P.Terlemezyan; from 1984 to 1985
she attended the Art Academy named after Repin in Leningrad, Faculty of Scuplture, Free Attendant Student; from 1985 to 1991
she attended the Yerevan Artistic Theatrical Institute, Faculty of Sculpture. Nune Toumanyan is presently a Lecturer,
Faculty of Sculpture at Yerevan's Art Academy and continually working on her personal scupltures, and also a member of the
Artists' Union of Armenian since 1996. She is continually working on her personal sculptures.
